Here are five tips to help you prep for your waxing appointment:

  1. Exfoliate a Day Before: Gently exfoliate the area 24 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin cells, which helps with a smoother wax and reduces the risk of ingrown hairs.

  2. Avoid Moisturisers and Oils: On the day of your appointment, skip lotions, creams, and oils on the area to be waxed. Clean, dry skin allows the wax to grip better.

  3. Let Your Hair Grow: Make sure your hair is at least 1/4 inch (about the length of a grain of rice) for the wax to effectively remove it from the root.

  4. Wear Loose Clothing: Opt for loose, breathable clothing to avoid irritation post-waxing, especially for body areas that may rub against tight fabric.

  5. Stay Hydrated and Avoid Caffeine: Drink water to keep your skin hydrated, but skip caffeine beforehand, as it can make your skin more sensitive to pain.
