All things nails

BIAB

BIAB stands for 'builder in a bottle', which is also known as builder gel. This range of nail products are specifically designed to add strength and structure to your natural nails. If you're familiar with the brand The Gel Bottle, you'll know that they're credited with developing BIAB.

It's a diverse tool, too. It can be used to add length to your natural nails, creating longer tips. You can also layer BIAB on top of your natural nails to give them strength and prevent breakage.

A BIAB mani can last up to three weeks, but with proper nail prep it can last much longer. We don't advise keeping a BIAB set on for too long though, after around four weeks they can either be infilled or soaked off.

GELX EXTENSIONS

Gel-X extensions have the malleability of a soft gel polish and the length of a press-on or glue-on nail. The extension is made out of gel polish which is applied directly on top of your full natural nail and can be cut and shaped to your preference. GelX Extensions uses the same materials as a gel manicure but the technique can create length past your natural nails, thanks to clear tips that are filed to blend seamlessly with them.

Unlike acrylic or hard-gel extensions, Gel-X tips don’t just sit at the tip of the nails. Instead, they cover the entire nail bed from cuticle to free edge.

SHELLAC

Shellac nails are created with a special in-salon nail polish that was developed and patented by the brand Creative Nail Design (CND). Half-gel and half-regular polish, shellac combines the benefits of both, like no dry time, long-lasting results, shine, colour, and easy removal. The formulas bind together when the teeny molecules (called monomers) and larger molecules (called polymers) in the formula are exposed to LED light, creating a shellac effect.
