Places we forget to wear SPF
Here are some commonly forgotten places where you should always apply sunscreen:
Ears: The tops and behind the ears are often neglected but are highly exposed to the sun.
Neck and Décolletage: The front and back of the neck, as well as the chest area, are prone to sun damage.
Scalp and Hairline: Especially if you have thinning hair or wear your hair parted, these areas can burn easily.
Eyelids: The skin on the eyelids is thin and sensitive, so use a sunscreen designed for the face or a mineral-based formula.
Lips: The lips are vulnerable to sunburn, so a lip balm with SPF is essential.
Hands and Fingers: The backs of the hands are often exposed and show early signs of aging.
Feet and Toes: If you're wearing sandals or going barefoot, don't forget to protect the tops of your feet.
Underarms: Particularly if you're wearing a sleeveless top, the underarm area can be exposed to the sun.
Behind the Knees: This area is often exposed when sitting, especially in shorts or skirts.
Nape of the Neck: If your hair is short or pulled up, this area is exposed and often missed.
Applying sunscreen to these often-overlooked areas can help protect your skin from UV damage and reduce the risk of skin cancer.
